Zaphod, my male ferret, loves couches.
At some point during playtime, he leaps onto the couch and immediately sets into his ritual of rolling, dancing, writhing on the cushions in the crook where the back meets the arm. He wiggles and dances and really seems to enjoy… being on a couch. Then he climbs the arms and stands there, looking poised, King of the Couch, and then his arms go stiff and his mouth opens in a ferret-smile and he goes tumbling down onto the cushion. Like a kid rolling down a grassy hill. Then the dancing, again.
Any time another ferret is on the arm and he’s on the cushion, he likes to play Jaws, and snatches their ankles out from under them and rolls them off the arm. King of the Couch claims another victim.
God bless couches.
